I started Dark Horse Digital Labs because I kept running into the same problem — from both sides. As a designer embedded in enterprise teams at Fidelity and Cisco, I watched brilliant design work die in handoff, get watered down by committee, or ship six months too late. As a contractor working with startups, I saw agencies charge senior rates and staff projects with juniors who'd never shipped anything complex.

Dark Horse is the answer to both. Every project is led by me — a senior designer with hands-on experience building enterprise design systems at Fidelity, architecting multi-system security UX at Cisco SecureX, and designing regulated clinical workflows in healthcare at Symphio. I bring that depth to every engagement, augmented by AI tools that let a small studio move at the speed of a full team.

I don't take on more work than I can give my full attention. If you're here, it's because you need someone who's been inside complex systems, who understands regulated environments, and who can ship production-quality design — not just pretty comps. I'm not for everyone, and that's by design.
